Terms of use: the Mydas QuickBooks connection

Who may use it

Mydas is a finance automation service that Mydas LLC (Washington, USA) provides to promotional-products distributors under a customer agreement. Its QuickBooks Online connection may be used only by people a customer’s own administrator has invited into that customer’s company on Mydas, only for that customer’s business, and only within the customer agreement. It is not offered to the public.

What it does

Each customer connects its own QuickBooks Online company. Mydas reads accounting data from that company and shows it inside the service beside the customer’s other financial records: the chart of accounts and balances, customers and vendors, invoices, payments, bills, bill payments, journal entries, purchases, deposits, and the profit and loss and balance sheet reports. QuickBooks remains the system of record for the general ledger; the figures shown in Mydas are a mirror and may lag the books.

As part of the month-end close, Mydas drafts accounting entries (accruals, reclassifications and similar journal entries) from the customer’s own records and presents them to the customer’s finance staff. Nothing is written to QuickBooks until a person at the customer approves an entry; an approved entry is then created in QuickBooks and attributed to the person who approved it. Mydas never changes or deletes entries that already exist in QuickBooks, and never writes on its own initiative.

Your responsibilities

People who use the connection must keep their sign-in credentials private, use the data only for their work, and follow their company’s policies on confidential information. A customer’s administrator may revoke a person’s access or disconnect QuickBooks at any time; disconnecting revokes the tokens with Intuit.

No warranty; limitation

Except as the customer agreement provides, the connection is supplied as is, without warranty of any kind. Mydas LLC is not liable for decisions made on the basis of mirrored figures; confirm material numbers in QuickBooks or the order system before acting on them.

Intuit

Use of QuickBooks Online itself is governed by Intuit’s own terms. Intuit is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for Mydas.

Governing law and contact
